Brandx — for business branding

Brand and Strategy

A mark that still works at 24 pixels and on a hoarding board.

The problem this solves

Most logo problems are production problems. The mark looks fine in the presentation and then fails in use — illegible on a favicon, unreadable on a flex banner from thirty metres, impossible to embroider, and delivered as a single JPEG that nobody can edit. A logo is a working tool, and it has to be built like one.

Who this is for

Businesses that already know their positioning and need the mark itself, and established companies needing a careful modernisation rather than a full identity programme. If you do not yet know who you are for, start with positioning — a logo cannot answer that question for you.

Deliverables

  • Primary logo with horizontal, stacked and icon-only lock-ups
  • Monochrome, reversed and single-colour versions
  • Minimum size and clear space rules
  • Full file set: SVG, EPS, PDF, PNG at multiple sizes, plus favicon and app icon
  • Colour specifications in HEX, RGB, CMYK and Pantone reference
  • A one-page usage sheet covering the common misuses

How we run it

  1. 01

    Brief and audit

We collect every place the logo has to appear — signage, vehicle, uniform, app icon, invoice, hoarding — because that list constrains the design far more than taste does.

    You receive

    Application inventory and design brief

  2. 02

    Concept routes

Distinct routes presented in context, on real applications, in black and white first. Colour is added once the form works without it.

    You receive

Concept presentation with rationale per route

  3. 03

    Refinement

The chosen route is drawn properly — optical corrections, spacing, and testing at the smallest and largest sizes it will ever be used at.

    You receive

Refined mark with size and reproduction tests

  4. 04

    Production and handover

Full file set generated and checked, including the formats printers and embroiderers actually ask for.

    You receive

Complete asset package and usage sheet

Tools and platforms

  • Adobe Illustrator for vector construction
  • Optical size testing across print and screen
  • Pantone bridge referencing for print consistency
  • Physical proofing on flex, vinyl and paper stock

Commissioning this

Three ways to buy this work.

As part of a monthly plan, inside a custom plan built around your quantities, or as a standalone project quoted in a written proposal.

What the fee does not cover

  • Trademark search and registration
  • Brand guidelines document — quoted separately
  • Stationery and collateral design
  • Signage fabrication and printing

Available add-ons

  • Animated logo stingA two to four second animated logo for video openers, with alpha channel and sound-free versions.
  • Devanagari lock-upThe name set in Devanagari, drawn to sit correctly with the Latin mark rather than typed in a system font.

Frequently asked questions

Do we own the logo?
Yes. On final payment, full ownership of the delivered mark transfers to you in writing, including the source vector files. Rejected concept routes remain with Brandx and are never resold.
Why do you show concepts in black and white first?
Because colour hides weak form. If a mark is not distinctive in one colour it will not become distinctive in four, and it will fail the moment it is stamped, embroidered or printed on a single-colour job.
Can you modernise our existing logo instead of replacing it?
Often that is the better answer, particularly if the mark carries recognition you would be throwing away. We will say which we think it is after the audit, and a redraw is usually quoted below a new mark.
