Brand and Strategy

Everything the brand needs to look like itself, everywhere.

The problem this solves

A logo is roughly ten per cent of an identity. The other ninety per cent is what happens when someone has to build a social post at 9pm, lay out a company profile, or brief a printer — and if the system has not answered those questions, the brand fragments within months no matter how good the mark was.

Who this is for

Businesses investing in the brand for the long term, organisations with several people producing materials, and companies whose current identity was assembled piece by piece and no longer holds together. Best undertaken after positioning is settled.

Deliverables

  • Logo system with full lock-up family
  • Typographic system for Latin and Devanagari, with a licensed webfont set
  • Colour system with accessible pairings tested for contrast
  • Graphic language: patterns, shapes, iconography, the brand device
  • Photography and illustration direction with a reference library
  • Layout system and grid across digital, print and film
  • Core application designs: stationery, social, presentation, signage, packaging
  • Editable master templates your team can actually use

How we run it

  1. 01

    Strategy intake

The identity is built from the positioning, not from a mood board. Where no strategy exists we run a positioning sprint first rather than designing against a guess.

    You receive

Design brief derived from the strategy

  2. 02

    Art direction

Two or three distinct visual worlds, each shown as a set of real applications rather than as abstract boards — because a brand is judged in use, not in a grid of swatches.

    You receive

Art direction presentation and a decision

  3. 03

    System build

The chosen direction developed into a working system: type scale, colour roles, grid, graphic language and the rules that keep it coherent.

    You receive

    Identity system documentation

  4. 04

    Applications

The system applied across the assets you actually need first, which is what proves whether it works. Includes accessibility checks on every colour pairing.

    You receive

    Designed applications and editable templates

  5. 05

    Handover and training

A working session with everyone who will produce materials, plus templates in the tools they already use.

    You receive

Asset library, templates and a team training session

Frequently asked questions

Why does this cost several times what a logo costs?
Because the logo is one deliverable in it. This engagement produces the type system, colour roles, grid, graphic language, photography direction and working templates — the parts that determine whether the brand still looks like itself in a year.
Do we need to license fonts separately?
Sometimes. Where a commercial family is the right choice, the licence is bought in your name and is billed to you at cost — we do not resell licences or embed fonts you do not own. Where an open-licence family works, there is no fee.
How do you handle Nepali typography?
As a first-class part of the system, not an afterthought. Devanagari has different vertical metrics and needs more leading than Latin at the same size, so we set both scripts side by side and tune the pairing rather than dropping Nepali text into a Latin type scale.
Who owns the identity when it is finished?
You do, on final payment, including the editable source files. That is written into the service agreement.
